The following was received by some of the 8 or so attendees of a meeting about making Davenport Street one way. At least some of the attendees question whether the proposal would actually help, but, in any case, there is some question about the "strong support" cited. We have invited the Transportation representatives to our March 19th meeting; keep your fingers crossed they come so we can hear what is behind their proposals and they can hear all of our input!

Hi all,
Thank you for attending the meeting on Wednesday, February 5th to discuss potential changes on Cogswell Avenue and Davenport Street. We received a lot of input from residents, both during and after the meeting. Information about the next steps for both streets is provided below.
Cogswell Avenue - Please join us on Thursday, March 12 at 6:00 p.m. at Lesley University, Room UNIV 2-078, 1815 Massachusetts Ave, for a follow-up meeting. We will discuss the input that we have received, information on the changes that we are proposing based on that feedback, and the process for implementation. The room is wheelchair accessible. We will provide communication access real-time translation (CART).
Flyers will be distributed this afternoon. Please help us by sharing this information with your neighbors.
Davenport Street - Based on the strong support that we heard during the meeting, we will move forward with making the street one-way in the southbound direction. We plan to install the necessary signage in the next 3-6 weeks. We will distribute flyers with more specific information before implementing the change.
If you have any questions, please contact Patrick Baxter who is cc’ed on this email.
Best,
Najah
