Please take a moment to read through these incredibly long and dilligently researched lists of names. Then think about one of them being your son, brother, husband, father, or possibly your daughter, sister, mother..... Or perhaps you had to worry every day that it might happen to them, you?

I tripped over these articles, trying to make sure I had spelled the names correctly on our signs for "Stand Out Against Racism" every Sunday 10 am at Porter Square. We are mostly white, mostly older (OK, old), but we are trying to say "our silence makes us complicit".  I am well aware I have to check the spelling, and the details each time; but most of the people of color I know can rattle them off, spell them, and know them, in their bones.

Just think about it. What can you do to help make it stop?
